I began to learn how to meditate as a young adult coping with a stressful lifestyle. Meditation and yoga were my lifelines as I trained as an architect, married, raised a child, and built a career in architecture.
I found that a slow, mindful practice of yoga had many of the same benefits as seated meditation.
I received certification as a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher from the Yoga Alliance in July of 2015, and my 500-hour RYT certification in May of 2021. I continue to study yoga practice and philosophy, with a special interest in Subtle Yoga.
The pace of my classes is slow and deliberate, offering students time to focus on refining the postures and coordinating them with their breath. This kind of mindful practice is both energizing and relaxing. It builds not only physical strength and flexibility, but also mental and emotional resilience.
